Annual Council will convene on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. There will be no Friday evening session of Council this year. Everyone's cooperation will be needed to expedite the business of Council within these shorter hours.
The Most Rev. Dr. Katharine Jefferts Schori, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church will be present among us throughout the weekend as her official visitation to the Diocese. On Friday, Bishop Jefferts Schori invites all parochial or canonically resident clergy to meet with her at 10:00 AM. Clergy spouses are invited to meet at 10:00 AM with Mr. Richard Schori. (Mr. Schori's presence is tenative at the date of this publication is now confirmed (Jan 22))
Clergy and spouses are invited to a luncheon with Bishop Jefferts Schori and Mr. Schori at noon. These events will be held in Tidewater Rooms A, B, C, and D at the Lodge. Tickets for the luncheon may be purchased in advance [here] . Council Registration will be open for clergy & spouses from 1 - 3:00 PM on Friday in its familiar location; the Allegheny Room on the upper level at the Lodge.
Registration will reopen on Saturday morning at 7:30 AM. Council will convene at 9:00 AM, recess at 5:00 PM and the Banquet will begin at 7:30 PM. A Sunday morning session of Council will reconvene from 8:00 - 9:30 AM.
On Sunday morning at 10:00 AM, the Annual Council Eucharist with Bishop Jefferts Schori as Preacher and Celebrant will be held in the Virginia Room.
